What we provide

Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore the issues that brought you to therapy in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment.

Many things can bring you to counselling.  This might include the need to talk about life events, feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour.  These may leave you with thoughts and feelings that are difficult to understand.

If these thoughts and feelings are not acknowledged and understood within the context of your experiences, they can develop further until the thoughts and feelings are unmanageable and you have a deep sense of dissatisfaction in life.

By exploring these issues with a professional, you can make sense of your experiences, resolve your difficulties and discover ways of coping.

Counselling is not advice giving, rather a place where you will be supported in making your own choices and finding a way forward. An experience of acceptance, honesty and understanding is created as your relationship with your therapist develops and this alone can provide healing.

Counselling can increase your self-awareness, improve your emotional and psychological health, help you realise your potential and live a more fulfilled life.

Initial Consultation - £50.00

This meeting lasts for 50 minutes and is to give us the opportunity to meet each other, understand the nature for counselling and talk about the counselling process. In this initial meeting we can set out your goals for counselling and together design the therapy towards your specific needs.  If you are happy to, we can then contract together and establish the length, cost and meeting times of counselling.

Counselling can be short-term or long-term, dependent on the situation of the individual. This can be discussed in the initial session.  We believe that it is important to find the right therapist for you and we recommend you meet a few before making your decision.

If you then decide counselling is right for you, we can start the following sessions:

Individual (50 minutes) - £50.00

Couple (60 minutes) - £50.00

Couple (90 minutes) - £75.00

Clinical Supervision (60 minutes) - £50.00

Payment can be made via cash or BACS.
